Summer 2010 Update

Our events have been put on hold, for the time being. Unfortunately, we didn't make a return to the Dublin scene, after our party in Mayo with the Coastal Beats people back in December. Not to worry, the Multi Storey Soul radio show is going from strength to strength on Ireland's Digital Dance Music Station, RTE Pulse, nearly 1 year on-air. Presented by Alan O, it features 2 hours of the finest underground house music, a weekly producer spotlight, that has featured guests such as Ultra Nate to Jay J, with more big names to watch out for.
Please listen in, on digital radio in Ireland, online at wwww.rte.ie/pulse plus channel 943 on your UPC channel box.

The Blog will now be updated more regularly, Alan is off to Spain playing 'VocalBooth Weekender 2010', in September. Full details and flyer to follow, also he is now managing spoken word artist Rainy Payne from the US, more details on her work soon.

Apologies folks for our unreasonably long hiatus. Better late than never though we thinks!
We've finally gotten off the seats of our pants to update our blog since our amazing launch.

Big thanks to all our Multi Storey Soul brethern and the Soulful house devotees who travelled from far and wide so they could be with us on our maiden outing. Too numerous to mention, we are sincerely grateful for the effort you made to join us. The night wouldn't have been the success it was without you.
Special thanks of course to Tom Conrad (Adaptation Music UK), Niall Redmond (RTE Pulse) our own Alan O who provided the all important soundtrack to the night.

We also like to give a special mention to Aiden Grenelle and Lisa Melvin for the sterling work they put in on the logo and graphics for our merchandising. Thanks also to John Pike and John and Noelle Sweeney at LeCirk, Jonathon Rice for technical assistance, the dynamic duo of Paul Moran and Stephen Mason, and of course Aoife Henshaw and Joe McHugh for their work on the forthcoming video.
Keep an eye on this space for the launch night video and more importantly, imminent news of the next event. We are currently hot on the trail of a great new venue and hope to have it locked down very soon. That's it for now so until again, adieu friends! Hope to see you all at the next Multi Storey Soul happening.

Multi Storey Soul is a night conceived to showcase the kind of music that we love to dance and groove to. Deep, Soulful, Funky Underground House Music, with sun drenched hooks and vocals, pulsing with infectious rhythms and sweetly nasty beats, designed to bring a kick to the step and a smile to the face of weather weary Dublin club goers. Happening on the last Friday of every month, each Multi Storey Soul gathering will feature at least one guest International DJ aswell as supporting talent, both established and emerging, from the domestic house music scene. For our launch night we have been fortunate enough to secure the services of DJ/Producer/Label Owner Tom Conrad of Adaptation Music UK.

Aswell as being an accomplished DJ with current Nottingham based residencies at Escucha and Gatecrasher and a previous long-running residency at Lovezoo @ The Lost Weekend in Manchester under his belt, Tom is also a rising Producer who has been turning heads in the International House Music scene since his debut release on Adaptation Music, a remix of Louis Vega’s ‘Diamond Life’ earned much acclaim at the Miami Winter Music Conference 2007. The track was proposed for release on MAW records before being licensed to Defected. Tom is the owner of Adaptation Music, a label set up in early 2008 with the expressed intention of bringing quality and consistency to the house music scene. Artists that are currently involved with the brand are talented producers such as Richard Earnshaw, Julius Papp, UPZ, Ananda Project, Vincent Kwok, Andy Ward, Random Soul, Guy Robin and Jay West amongst others. Support for the label is growing fast and is now coming from the likes of Roger Sanchez, Tony Humphries, Grant Nelson, Robert Owens, Miguel Migs, DJ Sneak, Aaron Ross among countless others.

Other artists in the Multi Storey Soul pipeline include DJ/Producer Greg Dorban of Reelgroove UK and DJ/Producer Dave "RedSoul" Wareing of Playmore Music UK. Also on the bill for our launch night is homegrown house music stalwarth Niall Redmond of RTE Pulse and our own Alan O of "City Inside". Hosted in the stylish and comfortable surroundings of Le Club, the brand new clubbing venue upstairs at Le Cirk on Dame Street, opposite the Central Bank, it promises to be a fantastic night. And with admission on the door priced at a recession friendly €5 and cocktail and beer specials available at the bar there's no excuse for music lovers and club goers not to join us on the dancefloor for what will undoubtedly to be a night to remember.
